Simon Toovey
Executive Director
Simon founded Glenmont Properties in 1998. By the time it sold to an ASX-listed group, it managed $400 million in property across more than 4,000 investor clients. Glenmont was also the developer of the award-winning AGL Centre on the corner of Fullarton and Greenhill Roads.
Simon went on to lead Strategy and Business Development at Commercial & General, where he played a central role in originating some of the projects that have shaped modern Adelaide. The $1 billion redevelopment of the 23-hectare former Football Park at West Lakes (now WEST); the 400-bed Calvary Adelaide Hospital; the Australian Bragg Centre on North Terrace; and the transformational 88 O'Connell Street in North Adelaide.
With Marlborough Capital, he put together Trinity City at 88 North Terrace... a $450 million, 970-bed PBSA tower on a site that includes restoration of three heritage buildings and a new modern facility for Trinity Church, on a site they have occupied without interruption since 1838
Next in the pipeline is One George, a 250–300 unit build-to-rent (BTR) landmark at the gateway to the Adelaide CBD, opposite the new Women's and Children's Hospital in Thebarton.
Approaching three billion dollars of major projects, and counting.
A qualified property valuer, land economist and Certified Practicing Marketer, Simon holds the experience required to serve as a Responsible Officer of an Australian Financial Services Licence, and is a past international board member of YPO, representing members across Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia.
