One George: Thebarton

One George will sit directly opposite the new Women's and Children's Hospital, a $3.2 billion state project due to open in 2032. Beside it: the Royal Adelaide Hospital, SAHMRI, the Australian Bragg Centre, and Adelaide University's expanding health and medical sciences precinct. Adelaide's BioMed City is becoming the largest concentration of health, research and education employment in the southern hemisphere. The people who staff it have nowhere to live.

Adelaide's rental vacancy rate sat at 0.7% in May 2026. Essential workers are spending more than 40% of their income on rent. One George is purpose-built to fix one piece of that problem… a 250 to 300 unit build-to-rent landmark at the gateway to the CBD, with three street frontages and over 1,500 sqm of communal amenity.

The project was originated by Marlborough Capital and will be delivered as a joint venture with 1835 Property, combining complementary skills across origination, capital, design and delivery.
